She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Miami University of Ohio and her master’s degree in clinical social work from New York’s Columbia University. The museum is located in Brooklyn, NY and was founded by transit workers in the 1970's. Jennifer is the Assistant Deputy Director for Education & Public Programs. Sarah is the Special Education and ACCESS Coordinator. The museum offers many different programs dedicated to honoring the strengths of people with disabilities. One in particular - Subway Sleuths - is a program that uses shared interest in trains among grade school students on the autism spectrum as a means to encourage social interaction between peers.
